This is the Canada Safety Council Defensive Driving Course and is recognized across Canada. This course, which is offered in partnership with Crozier’s Defensive Driving, is recognized by the province of Nova Scotia to exit the ‘Newly Licensed’ stage. Depending on your personal situation, it will also take points off your driving record.
The Defensive Driving Course is an established, proven program designed to produce:
fewer vehicle collisions;
less absenteeism due to injuries and court time; and
life-long safe driving habits.
DDC is designed for the adult learner.
Complete concepts are presented so they are easily understood.
Five core modules and choice of three optional modules, taught in six hours;
Case studies and written exercises;
Interactive class discussion; and
Specific techniques to help drivers avoid all types of traffic collisions despite the actions of others or the driving conditions.
Drivers learn the principles of defensive driving and essential collision avoidance techniques.
The next course will be March 7, 2020, at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre from 9 am to 4 pm.
The course costs $125.00, to cover the cost of manuals there will be a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee. Please bring your receipt to the course as proof of payment. The remaining $100.00 can be paid in cash at the course.
